Greetings All -
I just found this website while doing a google search for an old shipmate.
My name is
Stephen Whisenhunt - Served on the gold Crew from around '81 to '84.
Best known
as the second half of the "Prep-tones" (thanks Marty- it stuck for
many years to follow),
and probably for having my appendix go just days before departure -
thus having the
pleasure of getting them removed in Holy Loch.
I am would love to find David Denomy; the other half of the "Prep-tones".
We lost
contact after I left the service and would love to get back in touch.
Thanks to any and all.

Dear Sir,
My father served on the USS Henry Clay sometime
between 1965 and 1971. His name is Michiel
P. Termaat.
His best friend was also on this vessel. His name was
Chico Fernandez.
I was unable to see either on this
website. I was wondering if you knew either men and
could send me any information on them. I have been
searching for Chico online for years as a surprise for
my father. Any information or direction you could give
would be helpful.
Sincerely yours,
Dominique

My name is Jim Wendt and I saw the note that Joe Runyon was looking
for
me. We have subsequently gotten in touch with each other and
have plans
to hook up in the not too distant future. Thanks for the great
site and
the opportunity to relive some old memories. I am interested
in
contacting John Wesley
Anderson (Andy) an FTG who was on the Mudfish
through the Charleston overhaul and several patrols afterward.
Also, I
would like to get back in contact with Al
Rulona, a Missile Tech. We
ran into each other a few years ago (20??) in the Washington DC area
but
have since lost contact. If there is anyone else in the DC area
that
was on the Gold crew with me, please contact me.

I have ben trying to get in touch with Tim
Riley at the email address listed on this site.
The address is a valid address for somebody, by that I mean they don't
come back as
undeliverable. I suppose this could mean he doesn't want to converse
with me, however
we had been emailing back and forth and I found Bob Stayton MM2 (SS),
a shipmate we
both had been looking for. Anyway, I've emailed him 6/7 time
telling him that I had found
Bob but not his whereabouts and have not heard from him.
I can't imagine he is actually
getting them.

Hey everybody, Looking to hook up with an old shipmate.
Anybody know the
whereabouts of RM1(SS) Larry
Dean England? Haven't heard from him since I
left the HFC. Any other Blue Crew Radioman around from the shipyard
overhaul in Charleston till about mid '71 wehn I left.
Anybody remember the dirtbag that was transferred off prior to first
or
second patrol out of Guam and then mailed his heaving line back to
Capt AA
Young? Everybody thought it might be a bomb. A memorial
time.
