Stephen (Steve) J. Logue, Sr., Captain USN (Ret), a 1972 graduate of
the
U.S. Naval Academy, died on March 25, 2003. Upon graduation from
the Academy,
Steve was awarded the opportunity to attend the Naval Postgraduate
School in
Monterey, CA. where he obtained a graduate degree in Financial Management.
He
then attended the Naval Nuclear Power Training School where he qualified
as a
nuclear power officer. He latter become a trainer in nuclear
power plants.
Over his 26 year naval career Steve held progressive
assignments in
leadership roles aboard nuclear submarines. His assignments also
included the
U.S. Navy Command Center where he was promoted to Captain. He
completed his
naval career as the Commander of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center,
Division
Newport (NUWC) in Newport, RI. His honors include the Legion
of Merit, Naval
Achievement Medal with one star and the Meritorious Service Medal.
He then
joined International Survey Research (ISR) in Chicago as a Vice President.
His
last position was Director of Operations, International Finance Department
for Baker & McKenzie the largest international law firm in the
world.
Steve's friends and family will remember him not
only for his quick wit
and clear thinking but also for his humor, good nature and his ability
to touch
the lives of others. He was a man of integrity and honor and he loved
the Navy.
He will be missed.
We wish him fair winds and a following sea in his journey home.
Steve is survived by his wife Peggy, and his daughter Chrisy and son
Stephen. Their address is 545 Colonial Ave, York, PA 17403.
